Stephane Richard, who runs iPhone's French carrier service, Orange, accidentally let slip that the Apple device will be released on October 15 in France and elsewhere on the continent.
And, because Apple products are typically released a week earlier in the U.S., technology experts believe American fans will be able to get their hands on one on October 7.
