Phone Hacking

He resigned Sir Paul Stephenson and the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.
It was Sir Paul Stephenson's resignation from the post of Commissioner of Police of the capital shifted dramatically in the phone hacking scandal.

And appointed Sir Paul, who grew up in the Lancashire town of Bacup, Metropolitan Police Commissioner in January 2009, to succeed Sir Ian Blair.
